(cedega/wine aren't emulators) the runtime hack? elaborate, maybe i can make a workaround

Umm i think the fact that its a compatibility layer and not an emulator is a little nuanced. The thing is still inefficient and it doesn't ever run as well as something on windows. I know, I tried it for a year with dozens of games. (I still hate windows though)

Anyways the runtime hack is some kind of thing that changes the window's size and then points to the tgf file- if I remember correctly.

Eww...oh my goodness, that's blasphemy to a Linux user :P have you ever used Linux? I mean sure, part of the Mac OS is open source, but your really just going to hit a lot of walls trying to program on it

Macs are less complicated, hence less functionality :P Linux Homepage. Linux is a Unix based operating system designed by a guy named Linus Torvalds, it's source code is openly available to everyone, and it's in it's most basic definition, used by programmers to, make programs

3, without scanning or defragging

you just gotta know what to do cant be always going to stupid sites and downloading any random thing also avoid Active X downloads at all costs and avoid IE6

Well...I scan and defrag often because I accumulate a lot of temporary internet files and install/uninstall things quite often, but yes, windows is fine if you know how to use it, I don't like all the "Extras" you get with a Microsoft computer, it's kind of like using AOL...other than that it's good.
