I was going through some old file on my computer and found a folder containing the A2 patch. And im like, omfg that was such a fun online game.

and now want to see if anyone wants to play again. Don't even care if its 1.1 or whatever else version you wanna do)

I am a real old school player, see if you guys can guess who?

Used to be in IF, 11th fleet, TS-1 and TS-M and ACH.

Anyways.

The problem is now I have windows 7 installed ( Also have no maps, bah), and even though I have both A2 and gamespy arcade being opened in XP Sp3 compatibility mode it crashes if I try to join a game or create one.

help!

I can start the game in skirmish mode, which makes me hopeful that this is just a port forwarding or DMZ issue. but I don't remember how to do that

Hi and welcome to the forums,

It is quite likely you will need to install 1.2.5 to fix your crashing issues. Similarly, there are exceedingly few people who play via Gamespy, as the port forwarding method is complex. Your best bet to find a Stock A2 player is on Tunngle or another VPN. Many of the A2 players you remember can be found in the Fleet Ops channel in Tunngle and/or on the Fleet Ops Teamspeak server. yea thanks 1.2.5 did solve that problem and after watching some videos about fleet ops.

I gotta say, fook old A2, dling dat shiz now.

hi dude, there is a bunch of old armada 2 players still around, tiger , jokarrr, ugly, rapid, picard and many more. welcome and have fun. I was also in IF , my 1st clan back when it was still a new game.

I still have gamespy arcade, so we can still use that for 1.2.5.

Hey, mic, ugly and tiger, I got Iron nub in the A2 lobby.

So we could get more regular 2v2's or 3v3's
