well if it was a windows based tablet it wouldnt have been very hard :P

a tablet with linucks could probably use wine.

not sure why anyone would want fo on a tab anyway, no keyboard shortcuts and clumsier control of the pointer, would make ship selection difficult. a stylus would improve that a bit. but the screens are still physically smaller.

sounds cool, but it would lag everyone really bad.

I think it could be cool if you could get multitouch working.  you could use it to select  ships, move the screen around, etc.

not necessarily, in a few years tablets may very well have enough grunt to run fo, and they already have wifi of the speed required to play mp.

multitouch would be interesting.

also hovering doesnt translate well from desktop/laptop to tablet, as you cant hover with a touchscreen. so no tooltips for anything, and no hovering over stuff to see ranges.

all you do is have a switch for action mouse, to free mouse.  drag the free mouse around to move the screen and hover, action mouse to select move attack.  both would activate buttons.

yeah, in a few years, but right now, they would lag.  I would go as far to say that we could have duel core gaming tablets in the next year that could handle FO, but at the moment, I don't think even the xoom could handle it without significant lag.

Hovering is where touch sensitivity comes in :P Lighter touch is hover, heavy touch is click.

I think that could get annoying myself.  But then again, I haven't used a tablet much. :innocent:  It would certainly be annoying on a smart phone.
