For some time now, I've been planning to make a Fleet Ops music video where I basically throw a bunch of scenes from my replays together and set them to music.  Something to show off all the awesomeness of Fleet Ops at once.

Honestly I was planning to wait a bit longer: I just uploaded my 14th video but many of the earlier ones have inferior video quality.  However, seeing how big this next patch will be I've decided to make a video with just footage from version 3.26 and earlier.  It'll be a bit of a send-off, and set me up to start gathering clips for the second video using the new patch with all the new content and mechanics.

Before I start, however, I want to ask if anybody else has recorded footage they would like to donate to the project.  I'm definitely not the only commentator who's seen cool stuff before, and I thought you all wouldn't mind if I used your footage but I want to make sure to get your permission first.

So if you already have footage in the database, may I have permission to use some of it?  Also, do you keep physical backups or the files or know how I can download them from YouTube?

Also, if anybody has a specific clip they want to request from my recordings or somewhere else, let me know!  You can post a link in this thread using the format "#t=12m34s" at the end to link to the time-point in the video you want.

if you wanna use any footage from replays i made then you have permission to do so.

to download from youtube i use keep-tube

no need to use the addon if you dont want to, just copypasta the url into the box on the site. the addon simply takes away a couple of clicks.

You have my permission as well ;)
I'm almost certain jynx wouldn't mind either ;)

Try Requiem for a Tower. The orchestrated version. It'll make anything epic.
And broken sentences are very stilted.

Eh, Requiem for a Tower feels a bit too cliched. If you want classical-ish stuff, there's so much in the public domain that you don't need to resort to something as overused as Req.

Or there's always Yakity Sax.  :whistling:

Uhhhhh, wasn't it requiem for a dream? not requiem for a tower?

Mmm, not quite. Requiem for a Tower is a piece of music, whereas Requiem for a Dream is a movie staring Jennifer Connelly and that guy from 30 Seconds to Mars.

Good guess, though.

actually it was originally called Requiem For A Dream and was made for the movie with the same name. However it was used on a single Trailer for Lord of The Rings and was redone with a choir added and then renamed to Requiem For A Tower :)

So technically he is right :)

Hm. Guess I should have wiki'd it instead of going off memory.

Well thanks, but I already have the music selected.  I'm afraid not everyone will like Techno, but no one will forget it!

Okay, so I'm gathering up the clips I want to use, but unfortunately I was unable to expand the smaller videos I've made so almost all of my recordings are out.

Can anyone recommend a few really good replays for me to draw from?  I need to find some clips of Borg ships attacking a base, as well as some generally good build-ups and early raids.
