Borg Mixed Tech

Or rather other mixed tech you get while being borg... what in the for suns is its use? All I can build with capture con units is the Adaption Matrixes for the race, nothing else. Am I missing something?

Edit: Never mind, found a post about that. Okay, never mind. All good ^.^ now to Alt tab back into FO3 and finish off the dominion. I love my cubes. They so cute.

I noticed that too... you can only build these renegade borg ships (forgotten the name) with the photon torpedo which are rather weak (attack value under 40); with two adaption modules installed they get a 40% defense bonus against the assimilated race. However, this rather lame from the moment on you can build much stronger vessels like spheres. The borg should get a much better gadget because they are inherently assimilators. I also really miss the possibility to capture building ships and build all the structures of the enemy race as well... this was my main reason to capture enemy ships and bases. now it's rather boring to capture minor vessels with the borg of which even the weaker ships are stronger than powerful cruisers of the other races. The gadgets you nowadays get for capturing enemy construction vessels are nice but not very useful in actual game... at least it appears to me so.

But if you think about it, the Borg assimilate all new technologies into their own ships, so building a mixed tech vessel seems unlike them. I think the concept is more useful for the standard races.

It used to be fun to assimilate a technology, say the Corbomite shield, and use it on a cube. After all the Borg don't fly around in assimilated Galaxy class ships, unless it's travelling at high warp towards the nearest cannibalization plant.

Maybe the adaption module could go on the Cubes?
