I did PS that one a little.  Played with the contrast and added some lens flares to augment lighting.  Sadly, this is pretty much the apex of my PS ability these days, though I'll be practicing.  (May release a series of before/afters, just for the heck of it.)

EDIT:  Ugh, I didn't realize how bad the area in front of the deflector dish looked!

Veteran Vupta.....   

Veteran gains War Impulse-Engines: Greatly increased movement speed and grants a chance to avoid pulse weapons.

This looks like more than a "chance" to me.  Over 100 Sangs cannot hit one.  (Special thanks to beat2k10a for providing the Sang Spam, and Erik6327 for the Vet Vupta).

yeah a normal double gold/vet will only let about 4% of torps hit. imagine with that applied repeatedly.

vupta is great against torp spammers. even unranked they dodge a lot.

i believe their photon racks never miss as well.
