info: we got drifted away to a discussion about the old armada 1 fleet operations a bit in the permission thread so i split the topic and created a new one

yes, we had begun modding fleet operations with armada 1 though it can hardly be compared to the armada 2 version we have now

parlty yes. all new models had got new textures of course. the galaxy and nebula we used in beta 1 of fleet operations were actually from fleet operations for armada 1. a few other models too i don't remember now

there never has been a fleet operations for armada 1 release. it has been a personal mod which was never intended to go public

no, we don't have it either the mod itself was lost as we forgot to make backups or better said, we thought we had made backups
we still had many models and textures separate saved though so we could use some models of the armada 1 fleet operations. but still, i think you won't find anything in 3pr that is still from that time as the quality of the mod was of course much lower too

armada 1 was great, that's why we did fleet operations for armada 2

the only problem was that everone fought by building armys of sovs

yes, there were a lot new vessels for every race. on the federation side we had the phlalanx you may now from 3PR and the excelsior, miranda (i think), galaxy, nebula.. the borg had all there command types and some other geometrical vessels. romulans had a rhienn class, some others i don't remember right now (though i was playing romulan most time back then besides klingon), tavara was there too, which was a pimped d'deridex. klingons had some nice vessels too in our old beta, there has been a bigger-than-negh'var class too with very large bird of prey type design (looked a lot more modern) but i didn't like the design much. a shame we haven't kept more screenshots of it.

Yep, we lost the development part of the mod, but an playable version of it, is in front of me ;-) (backuped on CD)

But thats all i have left of the Mod

yea, but i think it's not the latest version we have backuped there - still very unbalanced and full of bugs

Still, it belongs in a museum or something!  It's a living piece of Fleet Ops history!
