Do the Adapted Photons just share the same range as the target?

What do you mean? Adapted photons spawned by Adaptor's Adapted Module? Adapted photons from Scout Cubes/Probes?

I believe the torpedoes share the range of the firing vessel. Aka, long range from a Dodecahedron, medium from an Adaptor, short from a Scout Cube. They count as these ranges for damage purposes, and it appears for range from firing vessel (target of the utribeam, not the adapted torpedo).
