Dear Santa/Devs
For Christmas, I am getting an Acer Aspire Laptop, top of the range. I have money to throw away this year.
I've bought Word 2007, a Wireless Printer, and a bunch of other goodies set to make my christmas perfect.
Will you reassure me in knowing the update will be released before this time?
This would certainly make my christmas one to remember

The Dev team wants to release the next patch even more than you want it, so just relax 
It'll be done when it's done. They just finished adding in feature a few days ago, but testing must continue to ensure it is bug free and playable. There is no timetable because everything is completed as quickly as possible when it becomes possible, but rest assured that many cool things are coming for the next year. Asking about release dates is like asking when your next online game will be - you know that it will happen soon, you just don't know when because it depends on all sorts of other variables outside of anybody's individual control.

Just remember, Doca Claus only gives presents to good little boys and girls who don't ask about the patch every few days. 
While you're waiting, let me regale you with a song of mine:

Comet and Cupid and Zeich and Detektor,

the most famous developer of all.....
Optec the dev from Fleet Ops, had a very shiny avatar!
And if you ever saw it, you'd think t'was a space-aged car!
All of the other coders, used to laugh and call him names!
They never let poor Optec, play in any online games!
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Doca came to say,
Optec with your skills so bright, won't you balance my game just right!
Then all the fans, they loved him, as they shouted out with glee,
Optec the dev from Fleet Ops, will make the patch for you and me!"
Sorry, my creative muse spoke to me, and told me to write this. Blame her.
Oh, and the patch with be out when it's out, which is what I think I was trying to say in the first place, although right now I can't be sure.

Edit: Removed my post here because while funny, witty, and clever, I like boggz too much to subject him to that kind of torture. To the curious, let's just say that doing a search for "worst artist ever" in order to link a song here will bring up Christina Agulera faster than your average search. No one should have a song of hers attributed to them or even be forced to subject themselves to watching a music video by her. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's a criminal offense punishable by death, hence the retraction.

The more people beg... the more the devs move the date's peg.
As they move the date further down, the cry begins to make people drown,
In pain and sorrow, for they only want to borrow,
A new patch, that will send N00Bs down the hatch.
Eternally these N00Bs will fall, into the deepest abyss of all.
The abyss of defeat and despair, because no one their experience, they will share.
Ahh.... I think my 5th grade poetry skills suddenly hit me in the head again!

I don't think so... the devs are definitely 1337 from the start. Dominus and a few other Fleet Ops superpowers may have been N00Bs but quickly took domination over the online complex.
