A quick question about 3.1.2; Does it alter federation ship odfs in any way?

I'm currently adding registration numbers to all my Starfleet ships and want to know if it's worth doing it now and copying them when upgraded or if I should wait until after.

if I remeber right you should just be able to copy paste no matter what they do because of some of the commands in the odf file, thou I'm not sure what they have been doing I might wait until someone else responds.

In short, will .odf's from current be compatible 100% with 3.1.2?

Well, the replace weapons were changed in the last patch where they wouldn't work, and I would say that the sprites have all probably been re-named, but nothing leads me to believe that the ship files will be different.(I sure hope not anyway )

Are you asking whether the values in the odfs are changed? Like speed, weapons, stuff like that?

Pretty much anything that would make simple copy/paste files from the current version a bad idea.

yep, all odfs are altered, but you should still be able to copy and paste your new craft names per odf

In what way? Are there any new lines, or are they just standard tweaks and weapons upgrades.  Anything that might cause odfs written for 3.1.1 to not work?(other than weapons of course)

way to dash all my hopes,

feds need some love to man, i mean everyone else has gotten all cool stuff, i mean borg redo, and all the other races getting goodies, and while getting the ambasador warp in is awesome! i love ambasador, feds need a little bit of love, i mean what about that developer blog

we saw 3 ships that looked awesome to me, the runabout, the equinox (i forget the class name, im sure ill remeber in a sec) and the saber mk2, but none have been implemented, and those fed ships were months ago,

i mean couldnt we get like a constituition, or constelation, or miranda warp in, just for a little goody, or maybye, maybe even a saucer seperation galaxy, and since the devs are so against it, the chances of it would be like .1 percent of getting it...

actually that could make games very interesting i can just see it now

A intense 4v4, 3v3 2v2, or somthing like that, i can see it now

It starts out, and its back and forth, and everyone is fircely battling, with ray throwing in lots of support and ships and such and then wait..... wheres ray, wait, wtf, why is ray going to the other side of the map, we arnt attacking there, ray.... ray come back, your fleet will be destroyed, all we said was warp-in on there mining, we need help for our fleets.... ray...., RAY, wtf! are you doing!, guys! i need all your help now, i just got a galaxy with saucer speration! i might be able to get it out in time and back to base, but i need cover now!! okay everyone suround the galaxy!!!! during all of this rays fleet gets wiped out, the galaxy is saved, but everyone else without rays fleet to help, is wipied out because of greater number, and after ray takes all of his remaing support ships, and tries to keep the galaxy alive, years later there is ray, with all the players gone, and ray is still protecting his galaxy class.......
