What to do.. captured ships

I would like to see if a player captures a enemy vessel they could sell it for 2 or 3 times the original price.
Another idea is to have weapon upgrades to give a signal captured Allen ships new mix-tech upgrade options for every ship captured..
It dose not make much logic to have advanced tech only if you get access to a alien contrition ship.

Just don't sell them to the Ferengi. You'll get out-bartered.
Would be nice to see something like the tech-upgrade thing, though, since they lose their special weapons after being captured/assimilated, if that weapon was a researched one. I've stolen plenty of Sabre-class, and it's always a little weird seeing that the special impulse engine on them, that was in use when I stole them, suddenly is just a normal engine. Or when a support ship loses most of it's technology. I just decommission captured support ships since they usually aren't tough enough to use as a meatshield, and don't hit hard enough without their tech to keep. The one exception is the Leahval.

its because of their new odf command they stick in their that makes the technology only usable by that race... Your find it in most .odfs
However your idea to sell the ship is possible using the replace weapon command, though wouldnt look too great as your basically have to replace the ship with a derlict that is dead and cant be captured to force the ferengi to come for it...
same goes for a mixed tech ship, you'd have to replace it with the replaceweapon classlabel, but they have an autopushbuild command that could push it once you have captured it.

Though it would be nice if you could use all the special abilities of other races ships... it couldn't be that hard to do...

I'm fine using them as 'just another ship'. Having them in your fleet reduces the chances that your ships will be the ones hit.
Plus, taking a cloaking device is useful.
