Weponds size to big for some?

Looking at some of the beam weponds in FO seem to bother me. Some of the beam weponds are almost the size of the ship firing them. I think It would be a good Idea to make 3 different beam weponds for every type of discharge.
The question is do you think that beam weponds in fo should be different thickness?
phasers. Lite/small with Medom/normal Havey/Thick. -Feds
Disrupter's. Lite/small with Medom/normal Havey/Thick. -Klingon's -Borg -Romain's
Phased polaron cannon Lite/small with Medom/normal Havey/Thick. -Dominion

I changed them and reduced the values to about half of the original entries in the odf-files.
I think two thirds would be perfect, but I simply was to lazy to calculate that. Even if they are halved, they look mostly fine and more realistic. (Though the nice detailed work on the beams gets nearly invisible due to this change.)

yea, the weapon size concerned me too. it was inteded to be larger than usual at first, we took the idea over from armada 1 to have clearly visible sight of what is going on in battle, but i think reducing the size to some degree is a quite good idea. thanks for input.

Two thirds of the current diameter for weapons sounds good.
