Visible sensor-range

If there already is an option to do what I'd like to request, please tell me
Otherwise here is my request!
I'd like to have an option allowing you to check the sensor-range of sensor-arrays, stations or single ships which are (capable of) using special sensors like a tachyon-detection-grid.
Sure, you can guess the sensor-range from the minimap. But this doesn't work if you've got let's say one ship with tachyon-detection-grid as part of a fleet.
Maybe a shortcut could be added to show the sensor-range as long as the button is pressed or it could be implemented as a permanent visible line around the ship then which can be turned on and off on demand.
I hope you can guess what I'm thinking of.
Thanks for thinking about it.

soooo... what you want is a button on the setup screen to show the sensor range of sensors?
trouble is there are upgrades an other variables which affect this ingame. plus i dont think it is possible to do this in any practical sense i.e. showing the sensor range for the correct race, either way I cant see it being very accurate anyway so a bit pointless tbh.
That is if I translated that right *shrugs*

Yeah... maybe. Just wishful thinking.
It would work though the sensor-range is different from ship to ship, I guess. I just thought of a way to keep cloaked ships from slipping through your defences due to a hole in the tachyon-detection-grid.
What is your native language then? Was my English so horrible? I always thought of you as someone living in an english-speaking country. Well, if you are, the answer is clear then... :alien:

I'm not sure, showing a visible sensor range as a button I think would be possible... but I think only on the minimap level.

and do you propose this is done in any practical sence ol' man? I think the detection net goes slightly beyond the sensor range (could be mistaken) this would be to ensure that whatever unit has this equipped will detect the cloaked unit.

I was actually trying NOT to dismiss your idea as being completely pointless but hey there ya go... go figure.
fuck you, what the hell is up with that? you dont have to speak a different language to misinterprit what someone was trying to say now do you. You even said yourself "I hope you can guess what i'm thinking ofWhat is you native language then? Was my English so horrible? This was not meant to be offending. Obviously you interpreted it to be an offence. I'm sorry for that one.
There's a lot of confusion here...
By the way: Actually I can't, as you suggested, "fuck" myself since this is biologically impossible.
Back on topic:
I thought of it as an extra, just in case someone wants to check his front line for blind spots.
