Yep, we have something like that in mind for a later Fleet Operations release, also we will handle it slightly different :)

If we include planets again we first want to have a more useful idea for them and it has to be realizable in limitation of armada.

hmm well planets are for certain things:

1: for more officers and crew, but that is already done by bases
2: extra resources, that maybe the planet mines for the metals it is needed, but that is also done by moons

3: for defence, make planetary defences around them. but i don't think that will be much use

OK so ideas for planets.

1) how about special planets that give you bonus', this would sort of tie in with the neutral stations idea.

2) Planets would be a good resource to have if they supplied u with a constant supply of dilithium and other resources, it may be an idea to have planets at strategic positions on maps an make people want them, would sort of add a bit more startegicness so whoever controls them is in a better position to build a fleet.

3) perhaps having the ability to add a game where one player controls a planet an the others have to steel it sort of a king of the hill type game, but i dont think this is possible

thing is, there were already threads with some good ideas but fact is that most of them are just not realizable with armada so ideas have to be thought of very limited and can mostly only done partly.

heres an idea infeshtation: a planet can have a bio oganisom breed on it creeting more bio ogranishons that will go and colinise uther paneits with bio ships that come from the planet.

you cood evin make the bio orgasim a wepin that cood in fect a planit. maby a wepin for the Noxter.

a nuther idea is:
to have in adishon to planits is artifshal planits. that can not be bilt but thay act like both planits and star bases

one more idea is:

is to make wepinds that are on the serfis of the planet that can shoot ships neer bye.

or howzabout sisko's trilithium resin laden quantum torpedo?

doesn't sound like a federation way of handling things and it is an idea against planets not how to use them. we didn't thought about them as practicing targets

it was in the DS9 episode where sisko was going after eddington. he basically nuked a planets atmosphere to get eddington to surrender. the planet whose atmosphere sisko nuked was a maquis colony

that is right lumpy, but he did that outside of federation rules, if that effect diidn't lead to the capture, he lost his job
