U.S.S. Incursion

Is it possible to have the U.S.S. Incursion in as a map unit? It would also be useful if you ever chose to give the Federation an assault ship.

Maybe my knowledge is a lil hazy, especially where ST is concerned, but isn't the Incursion the ship from that long dead game - Away Team?

yep the incursion is planned as a map unit, but probably not for v3

Considering what the Incursion does back in its own game, the Romulan Spy or Commando Team-type weapons would be good for it in place of the Hologenerator (assuming that it wont be equipt with that).

Actually, if it had a "rom spy" style weapon, "Commando" weapon and then the holo-gen, you've got yourselves a cool little support ship.

Yes, a cool little support ship I use in my modded normal A2. Speaking of the Holo-generator, if you keep it in can you fix it? Whenever I use it on a ship from out of their Sensor range, they auomaticaly attack me after the holo-cloak takes effect.

are you sure? i think that ship in insurrection was unnamed and refered only to as "the holoship"

As far as I am aware, the Incursion Class used by the Hazard Team-style marines in Away Team is the only ship in Star Trek that was ever called U.S.S. Incursion. The Holoship was never named.

"The Holoship" from Insurrection was never named. I'm thinking most likely because it's more of a secret project of the feddies. I mean, what sort of peace-keeping operation could a ship like that have? That kind of tech would mainly be developed for secrecy, you know? And since the fed. isn't really about that....it's most likely a secret project.

It is never named but I am more than sure it is implied that it an the incursion are one in the same (design similarities etc.)

Actually, that doesn't really make sense. The holoship from insurrection had a "holodeck" masking system on the outside AND a holodeck on the inside, with a small control room, correct? The Incursion was an actual ship on the outside with a "holodeck" masking system on the outside. The only design similarities they have are that they both have holodecks. I don't think they're even close to the same ship.
