I like the transwarp-hub though it's pretty expensive. But fun costs :D

Indeed: I'd prefer to see every single borg-ship equipped with a transwarp-drive. And I think that is canon and would not make the hub redundant. The hub saves the special-energy of your ships and at last there's no better way to finish off your enemy that fast.

( Can't wait to have the borg back - though I'm still more than busy with all those neat avatars :D
Dunno what happens to me when they publish the final release... I already can't stop playing the PR - except for making some posts B) )

It would make the transwarp hub redundant because if you a bunch of cubes with transwarp, and the amount of firepower that comes with them, you wouldn't really need special energy (plus dont forget that the cube is also equipped with a passive ability as well).

Okay, got your point.
But Borg and transwarp are like... ice and cream... you see?
And at last it is somehow canon and why did the "real" Borg need it then?

But if one decides to take the hub out of the game I wonder if it should be replaced and if yes by what?

what? the borg use transwarp to travel LARGE distances quicker. As already stated before, a single map only represents a single system, not an entire quadrant. it is only given to the interceptor (at least up till now), 'cos it intercepts things real quick :shifty: see how that works :P .

if your gonna give transwarp to all borg vessels, why not give standard warp to all other ships? this aint happening as the mod team have said before. you dont use warp inside a system, too dangerous and a rather pointless waste of energy.

Following your argumentation transwarp has to be taken out.
You're right - why hasn't anyone noticed before?

transwarp does NOT have to be taken out, at the same time it does NOT need to be given to all borg vessels. thats why you have the transwarp hub

makes sence, why would the borg even build a hub if all their ships could travell at transwarp speed.....they must have assimilated some vulcans and that's not logical

Uhm...
So.. leave everything the way it is, the FO-Team is simply the greatest Team of modders ever and FO is the greatest mod ever.
Questions? :D

And besides I'm confused, I doubt if there should really be a transwarp-hub or transwarp at all - though I like it... the hub

erm... Voyager episode "End Game" parts 1 & 2.

@hyper, im pretty sure that was sort of explained during end game.... i think. something about being even faster and having a much larger range than standard transwarp.

well, i think it fits the borg (being the technologically afvanced race that they are) preety well.

Have you note that the hub can transport your ship everywhere on the map and the intercep can only jump. :cloak:

scarface just rminded me - that the transwarp gates can get your ship/fleet around obstacles, whereas the transwarp special not only has a smaller range but also needs a clear line of sight to the target destination (meaning you can transwarp through a asteroid field or something). you'll find that the Hub comes into its own on maps like Nirvana II & similar asteroid filled maps ;) .
