torpedo module

this has properly been raised before. but i propose that borg ships fire an extra torpedo for every torpedo module installed.
i mean borg ship like a sphere is supposed to represent a small fleet in a way, it seems only right that if you fit an extra two torp modules that it should now fire two torpedos. sure it needs to balanced so split the power between torpedoes or something.

beams are currently for multi targeting, i think splitting damage even more would hurt the borg ship.

think i might be misunderstanding you, do you intend to have 2 torp launchers or 1 launcher firing in 2 shot volleys?
2 shot volleys might be ok, large borg ships aren't spammed easily, so it won't be like the e2 torp wall. as long as both torps go to the same target, it wouldn't change too much.

and they shoot independent targets? this would be silly. as each torp would have to do less damage, torp damage would be split. and against stronger targets this could be bad as it gives them a chance to escape and repair. multi target spheres are pretty rare as they can be tanked easier.

You could go with a special that gives them multi-target torps for a brief time, like the Galaxy or Intercept Dode special. Make it fire adapted micro-photons when active and you have a nice anti-fighter ability.

I'm pretty sure all he's saying is that the ship could have 2 torp launchers that fire on the same target, simply to represent the distributed nature of Borg ship construction.
I'm not so fond of the idea of 2 torps somehow firing at once (keep in mind that Borg ships currently have only one set of firing hardpoints, so unless this is changed the torps would fire from the same spot and overlap each other) but I would like to see a volley-fire ability like the Federation torpedo that fires more torpedoes with a higher torpedo module count. Mostly for the visual effect.

if they could get 2 independent launchers to always both target the same ship i'd be ok with it.
otherwise i'd still be ok with 2 shot volley fire on the same target.
