The up comeing merc thing

As we know that you will be able to get galors and other cardy things by a metord other than bording a npc one so am I right in thinking that we will be able to get dakora maruders by the same meens.

yep i could think of scenarios where you are able to buy a ferengi ship or two. After all, its not like they are not trying to sell EVERYTHING

Plus we already have a working model in game, complete with special weapons and the Of/Def values have already been worked out for them.

I still want some freakish, piecemeal Pakled ships, even if just as mercs!  I still fondly remember the Enterprise bridge crews shock at the fact that the Pakled shields were heavy Romulan shields.  Apparantly heavy enough that they couldn't just pop them down and beam Geordi out.

I think it'd be great fun to have a ship that nobody can predict what it's capable of.

Or maybe a Generic type hull that you could select  what type weaponds you would outfit it with. simmular to the SFC3  upgrading system each weapond , subsystem  and ship would have power and weight  limits not to be exceeded the total ship limit.  Race"Y" cruiser and frigate's types  were not too outlandish  I feel to be used as  Merc. ships .  Using the power/weight  restriction would restrict    severely overpowered  combinations. It is no fun when you are playing a Mirand aginst a  severely "Jacked up"Dedrix  with a starbase power core ,and Starbase  grade phasers.

That might be fun:  Stock FO ships that have been freakishly upgraded by mercs or someone (think Lakota).

You see em coming and think haha, I can beat that.  Then it uses its damned secret weapon(s) on you, and its friends show up.
