Really, Ewm? We've been through how many 'I want this random Klingon ship because it's kewl' threads in the last seven years? 100? More? This isn't even one of the better ones.

Hey, no need for the total negativity
Every faction in the race redoes gets new ships, and there is always the opportunity for map units, etc

Total negativity? It's not an awful design (I'm sure it's someone's darling, somewhere), but it's out-of-step with the FO Klingon aesthetic and otherwise an unremarkable BOP variation. I think it's a fair point to state how often these propositions float through IFR like tumbleweeds.
Then again, tumbleweeds add to the atmosphere, I suppose.

I guess I forgot that the suggestion of new ideas is frowned upon. I guess I was under the misconception that the forums were a place for supporters of fleetops and players to discuss and suggest new ideas, and request new features in a respectful manner.

Interesting model.
I don't know from where it came but I could see this as being a newer-style bird of prey if the devs like it.

I'm just being passive-aggressive because my five-bajillion Klingon ship requests from 2005 were totally ignored. Drunk posting is probably a bad idea, too.

I remember that ship! Had it in my SFC3 install a few years ago. Is it still on Battleclinic?

The problem with threads about ship requests is that, most of the time (this time included), they don't suggest new ideas. The reasoning behind each request is nearly always "because I like it" or "because it's kewl".
The devs have worked very hard so far to make every ship have it's own purpose, so we don't just end up with 200 ship classes for each race that do the same basic purpose, simply because people like the looks of them.
If you want to suggest a ship, it would be much better to suggest and discuss a role for that ship, how it would fill a perceived need, and how it would add to the game-play for that race, whilst staying true to the race's combat style. [And even then, whilst the idea of the role might be taken on board, the devs might well use a different design or make their own, to fill that role]
With regards to aesthetics, the devs seem to have a pretty good idea of the styles of ships they want for each race, so of course a lot of "this looks cool" suggestion threads will be ignored. That's life; it happens.
Also, I'm sure they've done plenty of research online and in various games to find the best ship designs for each race, and are also perfectly capable of designing awesomeness by themselves, so as I said, it would be more productive so suggest new ideas instead.

I wouldn't call any of Raven Night's releases "unremarkable"...

I hope they do. S'ang and S'usa are new generation birds of prey too, so let's hope they don't come up with "already too many"

suggesting new ship designs can't be that much of a waste. perhaps the devs have an idea of a ship role they want to fill, but not of the ship's looks.

Well there was talk of a 3ed advar or how ever it spelled. And I think it could also be used as a upgrade turning older klingon ships and retrofitting them in a new way or replacing them as the game develops.

There was nothing thing passive about it (you may wont to read back what you are about to post before posting it with the perspective of people how read it).... I got your opinion though thanks for your input.

Suggesting a design can come very close to suggesting an idea (in terms of ingame-role of the suggested ship) because especially Zeich has an eye for design and purpose.
And even if you're not a dev:
Looking at the picture at the start of this topic shows a small combat vessel that's probably either a fast interceptor or a small destroyer with heavy firepower for its size.
Considering the B'Rel still being a very obsolete design that has many weaknesses ingame (even against vessels the B'Rel is supposed to actually counter) this Noc'jedg could fill the gap between B'Rel and K'Vort, being a more modern Bird of prey in the pulse-weaponry-destroyer-category. While B'Rel counters long-range while K'Vort counters medium-range, let the Noc'jedg counter short-range and everything is fine. A klingon copy of a Defiant-redux if you will.

That's my point. What I said was that, when you do suggest a purpose, in-game role etc, then that's fine, but when you just post a picture of a ship without that, then it's not really suggesting an idea.
