The Dominion

I red that The Dominion would be new playable race in Beta3.

I have an idea about it. As seen in DS9 2x26 The Jem'Hadar, the Dominion destroyer has destroyed the Galaxy class starship with it's "kamikaze attack"
also destroying itself. Can something like this be done for Beta3, like one class of Domonion starships have that "special attack"?

I also invite others to suggest features for The Dominion to help our Greatest Modders!!!!

Yes, this would be cool. There is something similar in the Shockwave mod.

yep, the dominion destroyers have the "collision" special ability, which will make them ramm an enemy vessel. They deal massive damage but get destroyed by it.

Well, that's great Optec. Can you reveal any new features of The Dominion? In what stage of development is The Dominion race? (Maybe some hot new screenshots that we could take a look so that we can give our humble opinions).

mh, well the dominion is currently under heavy construction and i'm working on the models :) at the moment there is only the destroyer, and some stations.. oh and the scout
mh. well the dominion has - hopefully like every Fleet Operations race :) - a very unique style of playing. for example they will have a relatively low crew rate, but they can clone additional warriors for resources in their cloning facility...
well i will write about more features as soon as i'm sure they are working as i want them to ;-)

the dominion sound sweet. the ramming should be able to take out stations to easily, or ill send a fleet in and kill ur base by ramming it to death.

I also have spotted this new tactic opportunity for Dominion. Something should be done in balancing system that Dominion won't get this huge advantage. I don't want to imagine the situation where 10 Dominion destroyers with collision ability destroy my entire base.

Yah, like is there a way so that they wont have more than a certain amount at any time

Either that, or the Collision ability only does a a bit of damage (50, Maybe)

I suggest that should be around 75 HP hull damage with proper subsystem damage (however it can damage shield generator to lose shields as well). With 5-6 destroyers you can destroy Borg Cube or even some stations. That seems fair to me.

Its getting confusing having two people with posts under 50 and a similar avatar (warbirds). but i agree.

Yes. 75 Hulldamage and hits to subsystems. That sounds good.
