i think a good way would be, lesser ships but they can really kick ass withit.. supposed to be like 1000 or more of each ressources to get one of the ships.. and make it so that its like a sphere is a match for 4 intrepid or akira or something, and a cube could take out 1 or more fleets of mixed shiptypes.. like u need all the specialweapons of the ships and concentrate the firepower on one point to get a foot in.. u know.. that it is balanced in that way that they got only few ships, but that they really can kick masses away wit it..
and maybe the assimilation- and holding beam should be connectable in one shot for the bigger ships like the cubes.. cause they got thousands of crew member in the shows on a sphere and cube and it would be better to select both at the same time as assimilation is the main tactic.. and to increase the crew on the ships and the firepower would be possible to change if the rechargerate through the lil borgstations would increase the crewpool faster...

and for the point of the tactic aspect for assimilation, it would be great if u can select only specialweapon attacks and not firin.. like u got a cube, and followin some small ships, u know they cant scratch ur hull, just get in range hold it there and take it out by entering wit the drones... :D

I'd be happy just to spend all 10 credits and get a cube matching the one off of First Contact and having a running battle all the way to SOL :D

It should only be about as powerful as 2 Tavaras but be able to assimilate alot of weapons and have shielding almost impenatrable ;)

OK i have another idea about how to make a borg cube: you could take the fusion cube system to the maximum and if u would want to build a cube u would have to fuse lets say 32 small cubes. that way u could have 5 different cube classes and if u would want to build a big cube it would cost alot of money and take alot of your time, so i think the game would be balanced.


BTW i agree with TMP rules that cube should have almost impentrable shields and alot of holding beams.

lol I was gonna put that down yesterday, but I dont think it would work out. For one the cube system multiplies itself like 4 scout cubes used to make a large cube, then 16 more cubes used to make the next one and so on and so forth. Does this not make sense because thats the only way I see this could work.

The next cube amount I think is 64 and thats step 3, don't think too many of us could build 64 scout cubes so this idea isnt really feesable, but I could be wrong because i'm not doing too well in algebra ;)

The other idea is just taking like (these arnt the decided resources required to build it) 10k dilithium, 10 credits, quite alot of crew and 10k tritanium and making one mother of a cube that I mentioned in my last post.

Ups I didn't think it over I guess :blush: . Yep that would be too much cubes that need to be put together, so i guess the idea would work

1x1x1 is basic cube
2x2x2 (8 cubes) is fussion cube
4x4x4 (64 cubes) is fussioned fussion cube
which is ALOT... but I would still do it... :)

u know that u´ll never be in a position to do that in mp games? cause they shoot u to pieces before u got enough?... :P

I haven't actually been able to play this mod yet... I having some problems running the game, but it looks like DOCaCola may have have a solution...
and also with those cubes there, its not like they won't fight back while they are massing getting ready to make a super cube...

hehe, but you will find out that it's not that easy to get 64 cubes in fleet operations :)

You can prolly make 64 scout cubes easy, the trick is getting them all together when just putting 8 together is hard.

Hmm, in my other post i meant like 8 fuse. That happens 8 times, to you get 8 fusioncubes, each have been made by 8 scouts. Those 8 fusions fuse to form a fusiofusion cube....

Although instead of all this, having it just as an animation for then theyre being built would look kool enough. :)

Yeah I know what your sayin, tahts what I ment, it would just take forever to fuse 8 cubes 8 times, then fusing those into larger cubers.
