When the borg assimilate ships don't they improve them? Could the ships assimilated by the borg have increased stats, a new special weapon, a different basic weapon derived from the borgs understanding of different technologies?

Just a thought

the mod sets the different races at a balanced level, if the assimulated ships are upgraded, then the balance tips towards the favor of the borg.
an upgraded version of a Neg'var would be bad

or an upgraded Defiant mg: or a sovie or Breen BB or a hyperspace arty ship or.....

anyway I think both assimilation and capturing in V3 will reap slightly different rewards to what is accustomed Linky
