Terran Invasion?

Post ideas and suggestions on new features or improvements here.

There have been several books, fanfic series and SFC1 where the Terrans (sometimes an alternate Empire that was not destroyed or a second one that was rebuilt after the Rebellion won) have invaded the Prime Universe. Could something like that be incorperated into the FO story?

Please keep the comments friendy, this is just a Terran fan asking.

I bet you'll see Terran ships on some maps in the far flung future... buy I don't remember any hints that the RPG had any Terran Empire story: probably best to ask the Devs this directly :)

The Terran Empire is dead.
It was whiped out after the mirrowspok was the king or whatever and decided to make the agressive empire peacefull like the Federation.
After that the Kling-Cardassian Alliace whiped out the imperium and the humans where slaves.

This and the rebellion of the humans where shown in DS9. But they want something peacefull like the Federation too.

You see, there can't be a Terran invasion because there is no invader.
No Kling Cardassian Alliace and no Terran empire.

How much of the post did you read? It mentions the other realities from various other sources (including the one that came from the Rebellion).

There is plenty of Empire's, just like there is many Federation's.

I read the hole post. But I think I missunderstood something. I thought he only mentioned the mirroruniverse. And there is no empire that could invade the fleetops universe.

But the question would be why do it?
An invasion of an alternate timeline of the mirroruniverse. . This is the way how the new movie solves all canonproblems...
But Fleetops won't restart the hole story.

And why should they invade the normal universe. There is a hole universe to conquer. Why fighting against another.

And there are no new ships or gameplayfeatures because the science has gone the same way. Same ships (sometimes bigger or better armed) but nothing new. Ok, a new painting for the ships. But thats all.

They would because they are the Empire, violent conquerors. In one of the 'other sources' mentioned, they had already taken their entire Galaxy and wanted more to conquor. They crossed ships over and started a war with Prime Starfleet.

Most versions of the Empire I have read about were started out of fear and suspicion, similar to the Dominion. They probably would need even less motivation to attack than prime races, like the Dominion, Borg, ect.

That would open up some intresting things, and since they are a militant organisation from birth they would have more complicated and powerful weapons than the federation. However, since they devote less to science, they would have less subsystem stability and less system value.

Since when does a militant system of goverment get better and more powerful weapons then a society that relies more on science :P . Lets see... what's that country that has a military dictatorship, right above that parallel... hmmm... I think its name is........ North Korea. Yup, launching Scuds and detonating fission bombs sure counts as great weapons capabilities. Of course, if the organization devoted lots of resources to researching weapons, that changes things--it all depends on where the funds are being allocated, but a free society always is able to develop better technology then a repressed one. Look at the Soviet Union right around WWII. They supported Lamarckiasm, and as a result had major catestrophies in terms of grain production and all the other assorted goodies associated with knowing about genetics.

Do conquerors incorperate interesting tech from defeated opponents? And I doubt Empire-supported piracy would be considered beneath them.

what about just replacing the current crop of federation weenies with people from the mirror universe.  i got it Q was bored and he has a perverted obsession with human boys and girls.  so he wanted to see how our guys would handle the mirror universe and vice versa.  :)  nice and neat and easily explainable.

Only if they understand it/can reverse enginer it in the first place... but I suppose this is Star Trek, so anything goes :sweatdrop:
