There are 3 supreme comander-ish features which i would like to see in FO:
1. More control over shipyard build orders. This would mean that i would be able to shift-click a ship button to drop 5 of that ship in the queue, have an open-ended queue (i could shove through as many ship requests as i want)
2. remove the 16 ship selection limit and allow multi-selection of stations.
3. Allow builders and research stations to have a queue like shipyards.
I don't know how hard this is but it would really help make fleetops funner for those that cant master microing!

yea, all 3 are very hard to accomplish actually...

Build queues for research stations would be quite easy to do, but constructors is a whole other story. I dont think endless selection groups fit Fleet Operations that well

yea, i had the constructors in mind when referring to the third point, as we already have queue-able research in shipyards
instead of unlocking the number of selectable units, i'd prefer to improve overall ship handling

nice points but isn't the research queue already done (federation 1st yard can research) and station selection would be kool especially for turrets. (I also thought the build queue was 10 not 16 would be great if it could be increased and ships of the same type stack up when getting selected

what i would like is standard units and ones that have earned veteranship to still be classed as the same ship when you double click to mass select a fleet of the same type
and queable research at the research stations would be great, rather than have to sit there waiting for my tritainum to hit 650 just so i could do advance cloak research...

well not just the veterans but the other ranked ships and starting ships (as technically they do not count as the same type due to a diff odf

yea, that's it. armada sees them as different vessel types. the fix was just included last week in the dev version, so that this feature will again work as expected with 3.0.6

What exactly did you have in mind?
Actium

that reminds me at 1 thing that crossed through my mind:
some ppl had the idea of Avatar-ships, but i think it was alot discussed how powerfull they have to be, but supreme commander showed quite well how it could be done: upgrades for the avatar ships which are at start not THAT strong

The "flagship" that warps in in my modded FO atm (:D) is a slightly beefed up defiant that levels up proportionally to the stock.
It works well
It works well

in mine I added the Dauntless into the experimental warpin, with a working slipstream drive.
It can get complicated to add a ship to a warpin, but after you do it once, it gets easer every time.
