Specify target hardpoints on target ship

I was just wondering if it would ever be possible to have commands specifying which hardpoints are targeted on an enemy ship.  I've got several uses in mind:

1) All the ship systems have designated hardpoints, so it seems like it would be possible to command your ships to target enemies by system once the shields are down.

2) With disruptors or other weapons firing in pairs, it would look better if you could force all shots to stay on the same hardpoint, instead of having them spread out and criss cross all over the place.

3) With torpedoes, you could fire off several at once, and have each torpedo go to a different hardpoint (getting a nice spread effect).  A command that forces weapons to cycle through all hardpoints before repeating any?

The game seems to randomly spread weapon fire among target hardpoints, so it seems like there has to be a basis for coding in there somewhere...

I could see it implemented as a special weapon, but you would have to assign the same Hardpoint numbering scheme to all vessels across the board.

Then just have Special weapon target specific hardpoint numbers and there's your target specific systems.

I'd much prefer this as a special weapon for Destroyer class vessels, You wouldn't want something like this on really powerful ships because of the danger of overpowering any one specific faction.

I could see this on Bops / Shrikes / Monsoons

Would be an interesting with hit and run battles what people decide to target
