Special Ability: Overcharge Gel Packs

Ok, I assume most post 2375 ships have gel packs, so heres my idea. Basically an Intrepid class (or another) can overcharge gel packs increasing shield and weapon efficeiency for a brief period of time, thoughts?

Wouldn't overloading the Weapon/Shield systems get more of a result than overloading the Computer?

I could see "overloading" the gel packs (certain ones anyways) giving an enhanced fire RATE,  kinda like the streamrunners special ability.

Ah forgive me, I mustn't have completely understoof the purpose of gel packs, ithought they were directly connected to systems, not the computer that runs the systems.

Easy mistake, the series doesn't exactly highlight the fact that there is a computer between the console and the systems... just skipping straight from pressing the button to weapons firing.

The very concept of overloading the gelpacks seems...um...well, let's put it this way.

Bioneural Gel Pack = It's basically a scientific replication of a living neural network...aka - a brain.

What happens when you overload a brain?  Seizures.  I don't think you want to overload those packs.
