Sister Ships

I know that is probably a little soon to start giving ideas for a yet unreleased game feature. But dreamed it up the other day and it still seems like a good idea so i guess ill go ahead and post it.

According to the guide the Excelsior 2 and the Sovereign were developed as sister ships. So My idea is to give them a synergy based on their spacial. This is another reason that makes this synergy make since to me, the Sovereign has a special that disables engines on all enemy ships within range, while the E2 has a special that disable its own engines in order to get a better shot. Thats my thoughts on the subject feedback please

Is the planned synergy a federation only feature or also for the other races?

E.g. i could see a flagship or science ship which will have improved sensors and communications provide targeting information to other vessels. This would however distribute an existing special amongst other vessels.

Synergy is Federation-specific. Optec never said what the others will get, only that they'll get something eventually.

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought he said in the next patch other races would also get something... as in, it wasn't quite fair giving the "overpowered" feds something new while the others stay without.

Yes, which is why I said that they will get something. Something that is not Synergy. I didn't imply he said the other races wouldn't get anything.
