Can you make a automatic special weapon that when a ship is destroyed it makes an Ion Storm of ship depris(junk) that lastes for 2-5 secounds and does 1-2 damage per second? B)

Maybe when a ship explodes, it creates a small subspace anamoly that lasts for a short time and would slow down any ships that travel through it...such as what happened in that TNG episode with the two scientists and the Hekaras Corridor...the only problem is that starfleet's newest warp engines have eliminated the aftereffects that plagued old style warp drives...thats why they would last for a short time only instead of a long period like in the episode.

Well I still think its a good idea, maybe the ships around the exploding ship get damaged by the debris of the ship or whatever, I just think they should get damaged just a bit :)

I meant that when every ship blows up it makes a shokewave of exploding ship depeis that damages every ship it hits slightly. Bigger ships make a bigger shokewave and smaller make a smaller shokewave.

I could personally care less for the whole damaging affects, but a temporary debris field does make sence and whould not be hard to add the the ship explosion sprite with only having to expand the time in which it remains on the field. :cloak: I think... sprites are nowhere near what I spend most of my time doing :blush:

You don't see most ships disappear completely in ST when they explode but alot of the time theres just dust left. I believe thats because of special effects issues or the warp core blows up and disentigrates everything before the hull loses integrity and parts come off.

It probly can't leave debis permently :D They did it in Conquest Frontier Wars with escape pods though. :lol:

This seems like only a Federation Tatic
The Klingons are to honerable
The dominion have that saying victory or life
The borg don't really care if they are killed
The romulans are afraid they might be tortured into giving up informaiton
and I don't know about the noxter
