Yeah as Defiant said there is a LONG discussion of the Sovereign seperating. To summarize: if you look on an okudagram you can see that there is no horizontal plane that it could seperate on like the Galaxy does. The only possibility would be for the stardrive section (and half the "saucer") to detach from the bridge area and maybe have forcefields hold in the air. Not likely.

i ried the odf editor and managed to make the excelsior so powerful that when it got assimilated i couldnt get rid of it but i liked armod because it was simple.

he he...maybe you shoiuld include an editor like armod in the next beta
