ship coloring

I think we should be able to change ship color. I think that if you give up functionality for graphics and looks in a game your wrong. I understand that it makes the game look better, but it isn't playable at some moments.  Above that it helps the computer player. I am not asking for a lot, just a setting that would allow some markings on the ship to help the player navigate the game.

Well i have noticed that on replays people who are comentating (including me) dont know who is winning the battle, especially in big engagements, where we have mirror matches. Sounds like this : "I cant tell who is winning, i see mostly white on the minimap, but there is still some green". Even on TS people ask me, how many ships do you have left during the battle in team games, especially if the oposing guy is of the same faction. Maybe coloring ships wouldnt be the best idea, but something to make them more different, so its easier to see, who owns which ship.

The devs don't like people knowing what ships are theirs, so they removed it*. Most non-Borg models don't have team colors unless cloaked, anyway.

Some people don't like them, so they were removed and those who like them are screwed. I don't see why they can't be a toggle for people who like them, it just makes sense.

* Just an exaggeration, don't take it the wrong way.
