Hello,
a suggestion, perhaps not for now, but for the next patches maybe, it could be a nice idea to seperate bugfixes from the whole new feature making thing, that if bugfixes have been made that are not that game mechanics changing, like the oos issues, movement bugs, cloak bugs, things like that can become cleared faster, that we don't have to wait a half year, a year or two years until the next patch arrives
just a suggestion

We usually do try to separate bug fixes from gameplay mechanics, but some things are not separateable due to their effect on balancing or how closely they are tied into features. For instance, the issue of backward compatibility when introducing a bugfix that is present in a patch with a bunch of additional coding features -> you have to test out both the bugfix separately and together with the additional features. There are also some things that are just out of our control: we are currently waiting on Tunngle to release their very long awaited API (several months overdue) for instance.

Yeah, well, the tunneler issue isn't that bad, its still functional...
I believe that shoveling bug fixes too often is really just overkill sometimes. For example Anno 2070 issued a new patch every week, and each was 700mb large.
Yeees there is this bug, and yeees, there is that bug, but as you can see from the replays, its ok... tolerable!

Dominus, does that mean when the API is released it won't be long before a patch comes out?

it's likely that when tunngle get their end of the job done, that a small fleetops patch will follow to primarily fix the tunngle issue. that seems the most likely thing to me.

Yes and No. Never ask a relative question when you expect a non-relative answer.
