Could the weapon accuracy be given seperate files the way damage and names used to in earlier versions? Effect on the game should be minimal, if even noticable at all.

The current way, it isn't possible to have custom ships get hit by any less than every shot fired regardless of size or ECM. There's far too many weapons to change.

I think it was changed because it increased the efficiency of the game  :sweatdrop:

There will be tools released in the future however to deal with those issues

I know why it was changed, it has been said often. The effect isn't that noticable in the slightest.

Proper tools or fan-made ones?

Proper tools :) That's one reason why there was so much passive overcounting and things of that nature for 3.1.5, as the tools are being rewritten to be releasable.

How do you know the effect isn't noticeably incidentally?

Games with that old style and BC-level ships didn't cause any slowdowns. Well, for me at least.

That may have to do with A2 more than anything and BC never had more than 10ish ships in it there can be a few hundered in FO.

I said BC-level ships, not BC ships. Not everyone lowers ships when they convert them.
