What about the possibility to pop a mage cube to 27 scubes?

lolwut?

first things first fusing/unfusing cubes is even more barmy than mvam.

secondly 27 scubes is silly. use a more reasonable (ie lower) cube number.

obviously 1 is the best choice, ie your cube can sit there and stay 1 cube, a most sensible option.

then there's 8, which is ridiculous.

then there's 27 which doesn't brain because work damage.

i assume this idea is to make use of them better in the late game? since they have such low armour and such

if you have 27 scubes laying around then you failed at life (or you're arash-tier scube spamming).

if for some reason you have that many scubes then no miner should be safe, scubes shouldn't assemble into a cube, they should go raid.

you don't take 4 jeeps and fuse them into a tank. you don't fuse 8 fighter jets into a bomber, and you don't fuse 100 inflatable dingies into an aircraft carrier.

likewise cubes shouldn't disassemble into scubes.

tho i cant off hand remember the conective connections or other costs but maybe it would be cheaper if you could spam them (or build a few extra to make up the others. idk)

This would mean you can be absolutely aaaaaaaaaaaaaaass to any player as soon as you got to the already badass Mage-Cube...
Just switch from a damage-soaking fortress to impending-doom-rush with 27 scoutcubes - which is only stoppable if 3 Dominion-Puretech-Players use six subspace-artilleries focused on these 27 scoutcubes.

I will send 27 DS9 Mirandas against them! They appear, if you pop out a mining station.
