I think it would be infinitely helpful to us if there was a built in script controller/decoder in the map editor. It would allow us modders to use settings boxes, triggers, and drop down menus to assign ship to paths, trigger video, victory, loss, put up titles, set a specific voiceover at a specific time, set objectives that add or change when something specific happens, all without having to use a hex editor and 10 hours to decifer the meaningless jumble it spits out. Making missions would be a snap! Also, V3 should make it easier to make a campaign. Pherhaps there should be a dedicated map editor function on the main menu (same as in Age of Empires) and from here, maps with amission rule file can be compiled into campaigns and saved, and later accessed via a dropdown menu in the campaign screen (which would be restored for this function) :D

I think those are all parts of the Campaign mode that our fearless coders are hard at work on right now ( as described in a few other threads)
