Saving Games

A few days ago I played a LAN game 1vs1 and as time was running out, I wanted to save the game to continue playing later.

Unfortunately, there was no option for saving. I remember having saved games before, but this might have been in Armada 2, not FO.

Is there a possibility to get the saving option back?

mh, i thought there was no saving option for armada2 in multiplayer.. perhaps i'm wrong but we haven't disabled that

Strange thing, I thought there was... perhaps I'm mixing games.

However, the tooltip for the "Options" button says something about "to save current games". You should change that unless you're implementing a game mode in which you can save your current games.

Perhaps that was the reason for my mistake.

To save a multiplayer game, press CTRL+S. To load a saved game, you can choose it from the map selection screen in multiplayer.

that was a feature introduced with armada patch 1.1

I knew it! Thanks... I usually don't use keyboard shortcuts, so I didn't know that.

Then there presumably was a saving option in the menu in 1.0?

However, the tooltip for the Options menu is still wrong then. No saving button to be found in Options menu.
