Risner Avatar Ideas

Ok I know most people think Risner isnt all that great an avatar so Ive thought of a couple though not really unique ideas to improve the offensive capabilities of some of the vessels in the build list.

Akira- Special weapon: Pulse Fire Ordinance - When activated the Akira fires 4 shot bursts of photon torpedoes at a high rate of reload, lasts until special energy runs out

Sovereign- Special weapon: Phaser Attack Patterns - When activate the sovereign fires phasers at quicker burst that do less damage per shot but cumitavely do more than at a standard firing rate. lasts until special energy runs out.

Example:
Standard damage per shot 12.187 - 1 shot every 2 seconds - Shot Delay = 2.0 Sprite Duration = 1.0 Shield hit = 1.0
Attack Pattern Damage per shot 5.0 - 3 shots every 2 seconds - Shot Delay = 0.66 Sprite Duration = .33 Shield Hit = .33

(Note: sovereign should have Photon and quantum torpedoes as standard weapons for both avatar versions, with quantums being a forward firing weapon only. Balance I leave to the Devs) :thumbsup:

i have some ideas in mind for new akira specials, but i think i will wait with that for another patch. i want to evaluate the changes we done so far first :)

With the Galaxy being one of the most popular ships in Star Trek i think this would instantly transform a rarely used avatar into a viable competitor to Adm. Mason.

he galaxy is history in the timeline of FO. But i'd appreciate a higher probability to warpin a galaxy for risner and perhaps +2 warpin-slots or the ability not to count as warpin anymore for galaxies available earlier on rankup.

Maybe. But I agree, no normal warp-in ship should be buildable, they would all have finished production years ago. The descent of course could be buildable, but that is a nother discussion.

Well, the warp in does't just represent buildability, but availability. The Steamrunner is still built, for example, but it is a very rare chassis. The Descent is a prototype, so is also very rare (hence why you have to replenish supplies etc)  ^-^

EDIT: I don't really think Risner needs such a strong boost: making the Phalanx and Avalon more powerful should suffice as I think her middle game is pretty powerful--it is her late game which is somewhat lackluster.
