So Optec I must ask for your forgiveness as I know already that you are currently (as we speak) sexing the Romulans up for the new patch. Boom.
But I had wondered about this idea for a while and would like to know what people think:
The Big D is clearly the Romulan mainstay, mainly because it's such a cool design and making more models for a show is expensive. But we all know that the Rommies in the show are like 60% Big D's.
And again, I know that you have already stated that the D'Deridex will be a much more easily accessible and alluring ship come the near future, but what do you think about a higher-level research along the lines of the Turret Upgrade?
As the Turrets can be "streamlined" in production to build faster and be cheaper, would it seem possible to have a higher level research that either/both reduces the cost of producing a D'Deridex, reduces the build-time, or Makes it buildable from the small shipyard?
Could be a very cool Avatar-specific research for Mijural maybe? Something that allows her to research a streamlined production capability given that the Big D has been used in such numbers for so long that the Romulans would surely be able to produce them efficiently.
