Any possibility of seeing a 1-nacelled Federation starship in the future (like the Kelvin in Startrek XI, or the Freedom class in Worf 359 - or even a different type of 2 nacelled ship, like the Challenger class [vertically oriented])?

All the current ones are two-nacelled, and a little bit of a fallback to some of the more uncommon designs could be neat and aesthetically interesting :)

This I agree with, especially since such designs are canon. Memory Alpha even give information that could explain a different number of nacelles.

Niagara and Freedom are such unloved designs...

I agree. Something like R5D5's Fahrenheit class would be nice to have.  :whistling:

I agree with this completely, i belive i have suggested it before, and definently support it, but there seems to be alot of opposition to it.

My belief for the feds is that they need more interesting/weird types of ships, to many of theres ships are
O  which is fine, but id think more variety would be nice, i mean even ships like the olympic or miranda
II would be nice as they are still a little different from normal,

I'd still love to see either an updated Oberth or the sad little ancient Oberth used for some kind of unique functionality purpose :)

Some crazy Top-Tier ability to help you break a late game stalemate that let's you bring in an Admiral from Starfleet (warped in to your main SB on an engine-outfitted Oberth) that Vets up any battleship you want before it zips out:D.

Something crazy and fun like that ^-^

Personally i don't like how the vessels with alternate nacelle positions look.
So i won't cry a bucket (or even a tear) if they are not added.

Yeah the oberth would be sweet

Since the Oberth is probably even older than the Constiutiton, it'll probably go as a map unit like the Cheyenne.

Possible Oberth-class use:

Passive "Shoot at me first and kill me with one shot Red-shirt"

= Any opposing vessel will waste it's complete firepower on the Oberth-class vessel while your main fleet gets the first-strike synergy o.ô

I dont litaerally mean the oberth, and updated version of the oberth

If you meant a modern counterpart, you should have said Oberth-II or something. If you say Oberth, chances are I'd think of the Oberth.

Literally or not, an Oberth is no Nova even though the Nova is fulfilling the former tasks of the outdated Oberth.  :woot:

Someone moaned at me for wanting the vorcha to have disruptors as pointless since the game doesnt need asthetics ^^
