I'm not sure where to put this.

I've noticed that the Fed Storage Dock is positioned in a way that the freighters pass through the station's domes to dock and unload their cargo. Could the model be rotated so that the domes are not in the way???

Another thing is I've noticed is weapons fire goes through map things like moons and asteroids, is there are way to make ships have to move to avoid that? It would be cool if the ship did fire in a moon's or asteroids' direction that the moon or asteroids would receive the weapons fire but not receive damage???

This is the right spot, and even if you got it wrong the thread would just be moved, so don't worry about it.

Do they really pass thru? I've never watched them that closely.

I would love to see phasers blocked by a moon sometime. It could lead to some nice hilarity in replays. Probably wouldn't affect gameplay all that much really, and would be a nice aesthetic touch.

Could actually provide some neat tactical decisions, mainly for the Bortas.  Hide behind a moon, drop gundrones to shoot the enemy while you keep that moon between you and them.

Oh, yeah. Definitely seen phaser fire go right through moons and such.

So, this won't let damage be done, the moon just stops and absorbs the hits?

Create some big enough object asteroids, and yeah, small destroyers could maybe get around and escape.

Yup - and you can fire through any object provided the targeting distance is long enough  ^-^

Yeah having map objects be in the way of weapons fire does open many tactical strategies...

OH awesome idea if map objects do receive this upgrade to hittable status is a new special weapon like the Diamond's ball thingy. Ship sends out a satellite and fires at it and the satellite reflects the weapons fire towards a ship hiding behind a map object.

Or they could just use long ranged torpedos, and have the warhead programmed to treat the terrain as an obsticle to avoid, like modern missiles can do.

i remember in one of the vanilla missions i built some arty ships and shelled the enemy from behind an asteroid field.

it was the klink one where you have to steal the cardy special ship that can bring in 8472 ships.

arty ships could do some funky damage over the asteroids.
