repairs at teammates ships yards

hello all,

just a fast on, played a game last night and found that u cant fix your ships at a team mates ship yard,
so i posted this as a idea to be put in

Good idea. In the show, Starfleet and the Klingons can use each others facilities, so it would fit in the game well.

I'm just thinking how plausible it would be in the game engine, I guess there is someway to include the allies shipyards as a possible repair yard for your ships, but might involve some dedicated coding.

Command & Conquer can do it, and Armada2 seems capable of doing everything else in C&C.

That makes sense but what would really benefit allied factions would be bringing back the ability to trade with trading vessels and trading stations. In Ghost's compilation mod the Feds could trade using a Curry Class starship.

Starfleet would most likely use the Freighters (from the show) or a Miranda Class to trade.

It doesn't matter what they use as long as they give players the ability to trade However, the Curry Class was a supply ship so it would make sense to use it and it would also have limited defensive capabilities freeing up your escorts.

AFAIK, The Curry has no canon designation... IIRC, some fans speculated it might have been a "thru-deck cruiser", that is, a carrier...

Whereas, the Miranda was shown doing several roles. Supply ship being one of them.

It seems that many older Federation starships like the Constellation, Miranda Class "USS Lantree", and Curry were all given transport or supply duties during the TNG and Dominion war years.
