Refitting or a Different Way to do Mixed Tech

Problem is numbers of files: This would require (for just one avatar) two versions of the shipyard, but as soon as you try to add more than one replacement ship that number becomes four. Then seven. (Heh, all triangle numbers plus one).

And actually, this could be a nicer way of doing the mixed-tech stuff - rather than a new shipyard it could be a research station (or pods on a research station) which were required in the techtree before the above research could be undertaken.

Oh, and can you put a build time on a replaceweapon?

I think Mixed Tech will probably stay the way it is at the moment. its not ment to be a essential game element, its just a nice addition, therefore we do not like to emphasize it to much by integrating it into the normal techtree
