Now heres something that might be interesting, refits for all or nearly all ships. Instead of just the Rhien and Talon class having this ability, give it to many ships and multible races.

Be able to get the Sovern class Burst Fire Photons or the Intrepid an extra Phaser, the Saber a Torpedo tube or D'deridex Pulse Disruptors, perhaps a vorcha with Photon Torpedos...all for a price of Dilithium, Tritanium, Crew and the cost of researching these refits at a science station.

Weapons, Shields, Speed, and Sensors can be upgraded on these ships through this process. Ships that weren't powerful before now could be, or slightly more anyway.

These are just examples but I bet this could work. In order to save space I dont think new textures should be made when these ships are refitted like the Rhien and Talon have now.

Other problems might be balance and the time required to do all this but the first can be solved with careful testing and the latter just whenever you get the time Optec. Good day :D

I always thought the Upgrades you made for the Romulans were to test a few theories for upcoming betas. I like the idea and hope you truely grow on it. Keep up the good work!

well the romulan upgrades will stay unique, cause that's a special feature of the romulans.. but there will perhaps be another thing which will allow to upgrade your vessels in beta4 (it's all theory therefore i won't state much about it, let's finish beta3 first ;-) )

It seems that Beta 3 is gonna have a lot of new goody graphics but I am not sure if my computer can actually support the mod!!!

well the hardware requirements have increased a bit, that's true. the most hardware-expensive thing are the warp glow effects. otherwise the armda2 sprite engine is quite good, therefore i think the difference shouldn't be that gigantic. hope it will still run perfect for you ^_^

Yeah dude, that would suck badly. I used to not even have a gfx card a few years ago so I remember always looking on the requirments to see if it said GFX CARD NEEDED. It's gonna suck for me if mine can't support H-L2 :(

Explain this warp glow effect? You adding Warp into the game now?

No just lighting on the warp necelles. I'm beginning to believe were better off without warp ;)

Any way to disengage the glow effects like in Bridge Commander? Because FLOPS run pretty bad on my computer, and yet I still play it for some reason..

Not that I know of, and this game is very addictive, like Counter-Strike :)

Not when you run it on a 0.75mHz Pentium III Processor with 192RAM and 32 Vieo Ram runing on WINDOWS XP

And yeah, this game is indeed addictive
