Random Special Weapons

This lately i've been brainstorming a Toral NPC faction for the fun of it (i noticed he survived A1 and so i always wondered what he'd be doing around the A2/FO era, though i doubt he'd fit in with FOs storyline). I had this little feature idea for his Fek'Lhrs, but thought  might be cool to have in FO itself for other ships too (like the Ferengi Marauder).

You may remember the technology assimilator from vanilla A2, and how if you had lots of special weapons on the tech. assimilator structure then the special weapons on your cubes would be randomly chosen from those? My idea was for this to be adapted for a ship class, so that any ships of that class built had a random set of special weapons chosen from a list in their ODF, with perhaps (though some fashion) some sort of value to make some special weapons more commonly picked than others.

I felt this would be cool for Marauders (representing the ship crew salvaging or pirating technology), but it was origionally planned it for Toral to show his Fek'Lhrs becomming mobile "underground" weapon labs, bolting on what special weapons they could slavage and developing new (and somewhat illicit/unpredictable) weapons of their own.

So yeah, opinions/ideas welcome people

ya that dose sound cool. it could be for an avatar like one gets random weapons on cubes :D
