A Cardassian Vaadwaur allegiance would be my choice, as I think the races are similar and that the use of sub-space corridors may offset their lesser technology. (just think of a few dreadnoughts appearing out from of them)
I also think it would make perfect sense, both races were almost destroyed; one has more modern technology the other has the unique knowledge of the subspace corridors, and they both share the same  militaristic mindset.    Just a thought. :)

I didn't expect the foolish (I mean Vaadwaur) to be mentioned. They are quite focused on the military, but I don't think they are as focused as the Cardassians.

once we have 8 races up and running we will think about if we want to do a 9th  :innocent:

No mod has ever featured Sona much. How about the Sona as an NPC. But with a full tree?

Edit: Oh! Have the Sona featured for the Cardasssians like how the BReen are for the Dom!  :woot:

Sona special weapons could render a portion of the map damaging to travel through for the rest of the round (or at least a long time) which could be interesting

Well my idea was that a surviving order of the Cardassian military could of self exiled themselves, as they could disprove of the civilian counsel but not believe that a truly militaristic Cadassia under the High command would be allowed to exist after the dominion war. So they set a coarse for the Delta Quadrant whereupon they ally with the Vaadwaur and spend the next 20 years remapping the subspace corridors, rebuilding their fleets then return to reclaim their homeland…. A Cardassin old guard or “dragons teeth” just as fleet ops begins as the first Avatar.    :)

The second Avatar could be a Sona-Cardassian-Tholian-Gorn league. :)

Okay, first of all. The Gorn Confederacy were basically over powered by the Breen in 2346 (I think) which basically made the Gorn almost dissapear from the Alpha Quadrant. So how could the Gorn even be considered? Maybe the Orions. But the Gorn are basically out. The Tholians are a stand-alone race. They wouldn't help other races military wise. But the Cardassians could be Allied with the Sona and the Vaadwaur. That could work since the Sona are experienced in Subspace weaponry as well as Ship building of ships that are not affected by rather dangerous nebula. And the Vaadwaur are a people that use Subspace Corridors to travel from one place to another almost instantly. So I think my bend might work.

Curious. Where did u get this info about the Hegemony? Im searching in memory-alpha and dont seem to see anything about the Gorn being overrun by the Breen. all i see is that they continued as is, and some memory-beta sources mentioning the Gorn helping the Federation against the Dominion after Picard convinces them to ally with the Feds.

Maybe he meant to say overshadowed?

hmm. but why would the hegemony disappear then?

Fading into the background and being forgotten?

does not fit into the context of what he is saying. plus the premise of the gorn being eclipsed by the Breen in of itself is not there on memory-alpha. so im curious about where that comes from.

not much is known about the gorn, and for soem reason they peek my interest. if he has some sources i would love to read some :).

Who are the Ciadans and the Noxter?
posted on June 11th, 2009, 6:52 pm
they're 2 new races that the FO team has developed on its own.

The Ciadans are very advanced but don't really pay much attention to the other races, the Noxter are your "ant-swarm" race that developed in a nebula and has just made contact after being attacked. There's actually quite a bit of info in the Forums on their storylines... I'll try to compile it eventually :)
