Prime Scube

Playing as opti you get an additional module for the scube, the prime module.
weapons on this scube are about the same as a regen scube. regen is of course less than a regen scube.
i personally think it would be too powerful for a prime scube to have a passive weapon that removes energy (like the sphere).
so the module gives the ability to use a new special weapon (probably called deflector domination). the scube uses its own energy to use deflector domination to drain energy on the target of the special. so you click the weapon and pick a ship, then the scube loses energy, and so does the other ship. as the scube isnt a sphere, it can only do this by spending its special energy to put extra juice into the deflector.
useful for when the enemy is using specials to great effect, such as auto repair on the leahval, or phase plates on the rhienn, or regen on scube/sphere, combat tractor for chargh, disruptor bombardment on cehlaer etc.
a few of these working together could help a borg v borg match where 1 guy has a regen sphere, the scubes would reduce the amount of regen the sphere could do, similar to the prime modules on the sphere.
when this scube is affected by a peripheral scube's special it gets the passive deflector domination for a fixed duration (adjustable for balance), and hence takes away energy from the ship it fires on without using its own energy.

ways to balance:
- adjust the costs, make it like the em scube, useful but costlier and takes longer
- make the prime scube slower/weaker
- adjust the amount of energy the scube drains/uses of its own energy
- maybe make it be more effective if you have multiple ships doing it at once, so prime scubes work better in teams

I really like this idea, although I think the devs are planning to make the prime sphere much more accessible after the redo. But I think such a scube would be painfully overpowered.
Now, if the existing periphery scube effect gave the EM scube deflector dominator instead of adapted torps, that would work fine I think.

thats also an interesting alternative, deflectors and shields (like the em field the em scube has) are linked closely.
