Possible 3rd Romulan and Klingon Avatar

I'm not exactly sure what the relationship between the Klingons and Romulans are in the Flops timeline, but I'm pretty sure we need some of this:


How awesome would it be to see some slightly lighter colored K'beajQs running around with green warp nacelle glows and the Romulan eagle painted on the bottom?

The two empires could have learned to trust each other slightly during the Dominion war and shared technology only to get all pissy after the dust settled. This could've allowed the Romulans to build some slightly cheaper, yet more offensive and less stealthy Klingon based ships. Instead of the 2 second cloak, the Romulans could have balanced the greater firepower in to give a 3 second cloak on a ship with slightly more firepower and hit points than their home grown designs. Overall they wouldn't be as stealthy as traditional Romulan ships or as powerful as Klingon ships, but they'd fit somewhere in between.

The Klingons on the other hand could have obtained newer, yet more power intensive Romulan cloaking devices and either integrated them into some of their ships, or reverse engineered them to design better anti-cloak measures. Their new avatar could be the "anti-cloak" faction who's more tuned towards hunting down and destroying cloaked ships at the cost of general fleet to fleet combat.

What do you guys think?

Looks pretty much like something neither klingons nor romulans would do again.

The romulans didn't like to be allied with the klingons during the war (they even complained about whose ships are going to be repaired first for crying out loud), so I don't think they would like klingon-looking ships either. And I don't think romulans would be happy with slower cloaking in exchange for slightly bigger guns.
In fact the klingon tech-tree appears to show nothing the romulans would benefit from. Romulans never want things they wouldn't benefit from.

I like the idea of a Klingon/Romulan Avatar in cahoots with the other .  Not sure exactly how far that would go but it could open up some cool avenues of creation!

I really dont see it happening ever again.

TOS, the Federation was a threat. They found common allies in each other.

For a very short time, however.

Post Dom War era....... not a chance in hell, klinks if not hate, at least all dislike the roms heavily (most hate them).

i dont think kli/rom governments would coop again, maybe avatars though. Taqqy is kinda like duras, so she may ally with a rom avatar somehow.

Maybe if mixed tech could be avatar restricted sometimes.

I agree that story-wise it probably wouldn't happen, but the game mechanics sound interesting.

What if, after mixed-tech gets redone, they introduce avatars to some races that get bonuses or cost reductions for their mixed-tech ships and yards?  Sort of a co-operative avatar.  Of course, that sounds more like a federation avatar now that I think about it.

Klingons/Romulans already have the coolest mixed tech imo: Saeihrs!  Because everybody loves a long-range ship with 50 offense, 16 defense

Whether or not the Klingons or Romulans would ally would depend on the situation. Something serious happens, like a large-dcale war, and they would (if reluctantly).

Romulans using Klingon designs is unlikely, they only used them in TOS because they couldn't build anything better.
