2. trade with an enamy

5. trade ships with an enamy.

this cood be contrloed thow the wendow thay crintly is used for trading rite naw.
but some opsitions mite nee resherching. like reserch an inbasiter.

Interesting. Well war is politics carried on through other means, and goverments negotiate from positions of weakness, so by declaring a truce or trading with an enemy you feign weakness, or alternatively try to save yourself from destruction. Very interesting.

I like alliances, so frusterating to make your ships manually attack allies when they don't give back that Dilithium moon you asked for.

The game that did the best diplomacy for me was Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. What worked well was having alliances not only hinge on military and economic grounds, but also philosophical. Democracies liked other democracies, etc.
