planets

i know someone said somewhere there was going to be no planets but they could just be a map object space is just so empty without planets, if you could just stick them in as a map objects i would be happy!

and still a great game!

it is planed to include planets as they were in armada1 (increasing the crew rate of orbiting starbases)

You mean the have to be build near a planet like when you build a OPF, but it doesnt actually move around the planet?
Like Armada 1 you say...

The first planets will be released with beta2. there will be more planets in the coming betas

there won't be orbiting stations in Fleet Operations (orbiting in the sense of moving stations, like the mining satellites in a2)
The Ciadan build small "Dysons Spheres" arround Moons to harvest them (they don't need frighters). Like all Ciadan stations, these Stations are armed, to.. therefore you have some kind of orbiting station there :-)
