here the issue, i played a game, 4v3, and couldnt use the warp in, neither could anybody else, so im wondering has anybody had this problem, and how can it be fixed?

also, the multyplay online isnt not good at all, lots of lag, oos, and its very iffy, i think it needs to be fixed

also when you connect to the internet after clikcing multyplayer, it takes about 5 minutes, i know im not the only one with this, can ti be fixed

also for those who played with me, that was awsome,

and @ dominus in that 2v2 i still blame you for our defeat, at the end you made the bigest mistake of all, by not moving your ships to my rebuilt base, had you done that, his fleet coulda ben wiped out, or at least damaged enough to the point where they wouldnt of captured my contruction ship, and rebuilt there base, and then i, would be able to with my fleeing contruct, build my base (as i did) and kill them, instead of being wiped out

I'll play you in some 1v1 if you want.

Actually, I did see some of your ships warp in Ray: they just warped into a massive fleet of enemy ships so they got massacred (it was a Descent the 2nd time).
Likewise, one of the other players warped in stuff too... into my base haha!

The lag was causes partially from your internet I believe: you had the worst ping and were the slowest to load each time. Perhaps using Hamachi would ease things a bit, but it’s nothing that the FO team can fix due to Gamespys servers also being the culprit.

To fix the the Lamespy loggin thingy I usually ctrl alt delete and end task immediately after trying to enter...then load it up again and it takes about 5 seconds the second time. (The first time it just freezes up)

Haha Ray, if you want to carry on this conversation of why "we" lost, go right ahead: but this the wrong place for this thread (aka, not in feature request). Thanks for spelling my callsign accurately though. Now that that's over with:

Twas no mistake Ray. I was done with that game: once I had destroyed both of their bases without your help, I decided that my bit was done. Can you recall me telling you that's why I left my construction ships in my base, instead of running them out like you? That is also why I decided to send my last ships at Cbosdell’s mining. To rebuild again is pointless: I'd rather play another game. If you’d like confirmation, ask Cbosdell. In the end though, you can only blame yourself for your loss: you built up late, you never successfully attacked anything, you were crippled early game and couldn’t help me on any assault as a result. At the end of the match I still had a fleet which you wanted me to protect you with, even after taking down all of Mal’s forces and all of Cbosdell’s turrets (his fleet of course was mostly up at your base). Winning isn’t everything and sometimes it’s just more fun to start over rather than duke it out for hours by running your ships away.

I learned a lot about dominion play on that game.  I think I've got the early game down pretty well.  Except I have to stop treating my destroyers and bombers as disposable.

Yeah, teching up in the beginning without making any ships at all will get you a trip to the elimination screen quicker than anything else, and Miranda 2's won't help you then.  Ray, making some Sabers, Norways, and Monsoons in the first few minutes will give you that "good job!" from your teamates that you're looking for!

I know you can do it! :pimp:

well whenever i warped in, i couldnt control them they stayed grey

as to the game, ahem, i defended my own base, against a combined attack from both of them, and you had the two middle moons, yes a mistake cost me half my fleet, and then my other mistake cost me a whole fleet, however i built back up, and sucesfuly disabled some of there mining, and took out there whole fleet, before there last remaining 4 ships, plus a warp in killed me, however, i escaped with mining contruct, and a few escort ship, thae game was far from over, yellow, got there mining back, and was very powerful, i proceded to the other corner, where you had recently killed red, and built mining, starbase, and shipyard, you proceded to take out yellows base, while he took out your own you had a fleet, he had a fleet, and i had my starbase just starting to pump out ships, you didnt not however give me your resources, and you did not move your fleet to my base, had you of done those we coulda won, our forces were split, so he outnumberd me 2-1 and took me, he then proceded to pick off your ships, before you even realized, this was not a dragging of the game, i had a base being rebuilt, and it was about halfway done to, and a few ships being pumped out, apart, we died, BUT TOGETHER, we would have won

Well, if we want to analyze this step by step Ray... maybe with less bias...

Prepare for a wall of text!!!

Initially: I built a fleet of bugs… you built one saber and teched up late… by the time Cbosdell attacked you with 3 sabers and a Norway… you still didn’t have warp in stuff and I had to send half my bug fleet to help you. Mal attacked me shortly thereafter with a fleet of bugs… and then again later when I already had teched up to S-2’s and bugs. Cbosdell and Mal then combined a fleet and attacked me (they destroyed a bit of my mining)… and then shortly thereafter send a combined fleet at you. I took the opportunity to wipe out Mal’s mining against the remainder of his fleet and Cbosdell’s and then retreated. After getting attacked again at my mining, I told you to attack them and you hesitated… then attacked their most heavily defended area and lost your entire fleet while killing a mining station. I then told you I was taking the center… and had a brief fight for it with Mal whereupon you were attacked by Cbosdell’s fleet. After a long build up where I didn’t pay much attention to what you had (except I noticed you didn’t build any Norways, and instead went for many sovereigns and no Canaverals either… can’t remember if you built Remores). You attacked them again and did some damage while losing most of your fleet (I wasn’t paying too much attention at the time). At that point I had V-13’s, bombers, S-2’s, Bugs, and T-15’s so I told you I was going to attack them and set my fleet to wait in the nebula outside Mal’s base. Then Cbosdell attacked you and while you were having the battle I sent 2/3 my armada into Mal’s base and destroyed it (except for one miner) and then sent the fleet to Cbosdell’s base right afterwards and killed everything but his mining outpost (and I missed a construction ship apparently). I still had 3 out of my 5 initial fleets left… and I saw the Cbosdell was still finishing up your base. So what did I do? Absolutely nothing. I could have sent my fleet back to my base to rejoin with the other 1/3 (which was now greatly expanded due to production) but what would be the point. The game for me was over because only one player had a base left. Still, you pleaded for me to continue, and despite you begging to send my fleet back up to my base, I decided to send it into the heavily turreted area of Cbosdell’s mining expansion. Surprisingly my fleet survived that despite any micromanagement. Cbosdell at that point attacked my main base and destroyed it and my fleet that was scattered over 3 moon clusters and another nebula. At that point I sent my victorious fleet in between your mining and new starbase and started looking at the beautiful textures on some of the Dominion ships. Then I hear you complaining about Cbosdell attacking you, and see that he is destroying your base while my ships are just too far away to attack back (and by the way, I had given you all my resources back before cbosdell attacked me—a good player never floats many resources and I only had 250 di 350tri …. And 989 supply haha!). Frankly hilarious in my opinion. Cbosdell turned his ships around just in range of my sensors and I watched as my fleet was decimated by those awesome Miranda II’s. I then had some fun picking at Mal’s last construction ship, seeing how hard it was to capture it with some S-2’s I had lying around (and boy is it hard). Failing that, I decided to quit and start a new game, cuz my fun was over. It doesn’t matter if we “coulda won” in that manner: when a game reaches that stage there is no point because it just becomes a war of attrition.
