That is, beyond a doubt, one of the worst, if not THE worst, Federation, no, any Star Trek ship I have seen! And...I've seen Cube's!

i agree with all you dudes. and the warp field would be tearing the ship apart arranging the nacelles like that.

isant thare a reson why worp engons are cept aport. i think i herd some whare that fed worp engons must be cept a port or the ship will expode.

(obvously its not real) but...

when a warp field is created its principles appears the same as a magnetic field you can reignforce each of the fields with the more magnetics you add...but they need to be put a spicific distance or they colapse. i think in the case of startrek when the fields colapse the ship gets destroyed.

EDIT:

voyagers necelles raise to protect subspace as some areas of space when found to be more suseptable to damage by subspace fields (created by a warp field)

the sovie can have the nacelles closer together, but not that close. the sovereign's nacelles are designed to use safer warp field attenuation techniques, ie less stress on sub-space and less warp “disturbance”
